Summer Technical Skills

July → school starts (mid-August) · Sundays off.  Beat the heat — train in the morning. No partner? Use a wall. No goal? Use a wall.
Daily core Home-day focus Do the five blocks marked CORE every day (~30 min). On Mon / Wed / Fri, add that day's focus blocks. On team-practice days, the core is all you do at home. Focus lists are marked with their day.
Weekly Plan summer schedule

A Note for Parents
This plan is sized to published youth-development guidance. US Soccer, UEFA, and the English FA / Dutch KNVB models recommend players under 16 not train at full volume every day, cap sessions for this age near 90 minutes, and protect a full rest day each week; the American Academy of Pediatrics reports overuse injuries account for nearly half of all youth sports injuries. With three team practices (Tue/Thu/Sat, ~5 hrs) plus this home plan (~3–3.5 hrs spread over the week), total load is about 8–9 hours a week — inside the 9–11 hour guideline for competitive U13–U14 players, with Sunday fully off. Top clubs stress quality over quantity: short, focused daily touches beat marathon sessions.
